This summer I have been experimenting with different smoothie bowls, and I wanted to share with you my two favorite. For me smoothie bowls are the perfect breakfast option on a Saturday or Sunday.
Berries Smoothie Bowl:
Ingredients for 1 serving:
- 1/2 cup almond milk (if possible homemade, and if not then one without added sugar)
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup raspberries
- 1 tsp acai powder
- hemp seeds
- chia seeds
- goji berries
- kiwi
- 1/2 banana
Some people prefer to add frozen berries, I personally prefer to add fresh, not frozen berries
Instructions:
- combine the almond milk, the different berries, and the acai powder, and blend until smooth
- poor in a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients as toppings
Coconut Smoothie Bowl:
Ingredients for 1 serving:
- 1/2 cup coconut water or coconut milk
- 1/2 cup banana
- 1/2 cup pineapple
- hemp seeds
- chia seeds
- goji berries
- unsweetened coconut flakes
- fruit of your choice
Here again, some people prefer to add frozen banana and pineapple, I personally prefer to add fresh, not frozen.
Instructions:
- combine the almond milk, the different banana and pineapple, and blend until smooth
- poor in a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients as toppings
If I have a smoothie bowl right after a workout, then I will also add some protein powder. The thing I love about smoothie bowls is that they are not only super easy to make, but you can play around with the toppings……so get started and share your creations:)
