As I have a huge sweet tooth, I am always looking for healthier ideas and solutions. Usually around 3-4pm I feel like having something sweet, so instead of going for the chocolate or sugar-packed treat, I usually make me a chia pudding. There a lot of different variations depending on your favorite fruits, etc that you can make, but I will share with you my two favorites.
Berries packed chia pudding:
Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 250ml almond milk (I usually go for the home made almond milk)
- 3 to 4 tbsp. of chia seeds
- handful cleaned strawberries
- handful cleaned raspberries
- handful cleaned blueberries
- handful cleaned blackberries
- if you want it a bit sweeter, then you can add some honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp. goji berries
- 1 tbsp. hemp seeds
Instructions:
Combine the almond milk and the different berries, and blend until smooth. Add the milk to the chia seeds (make sure you stir with a spoon to distribute the chia seeds evenly). Leave overnight in the fridge. When you serve add the goji berries and the hemp seeds on top.
Raw cacao chia pudding:
Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 250ml almond milk (I usually go for the home made almond milk)
- 3 to 4 tbsp. of chia seeds
- 2 tsp. raw cacao powder
- 1 tsp. honey, coconut nectar, or maple syrup
- 1 tsp. hemp seeds
- 1 tsp. goji berries
Instructions:
Combine the almond milk, the raw cacao powder and honey / maple syrup, and blend until smooth. Add the milk to the chia seeds (make sure you stir with a spoon to distribute the chia seeds evenly). Leave overnight in the fridge. When you serve add the goji berries and the hemp seeds on top.
Enjoy and let me know what are your favorite healthy treats.
Stay healthy
