Slow·o·lution has been created to address the need to slow down mankind's evolution which has reached a point where we, as a society live under constant stress. Stress can present itself for a variety of reasons, whether it is meeting deadlines, chasing careers, chasing the "perfect" life or simply meeting expectations of our very own family and society. Overall stress is not bad for us, for example, right before we go to an interview or a big presentation - this is the positive, the good type of stress that motivates us to do good. The problem arises when we start living under constant stress. This is simply against human nature and there are number of studies showing the negative impact such a state has on our health in the long run.
Living a healthy lifestyle has always been a priority for me. But following a long term career in the corporate world and seeing firsthand what a stressful lifestyle will do to our overall health and wellbeing, I am even more passionate about this topic. I am by no means an expert in this field, but I have had my fair share of experiences, which I will be sharing with you here.
We are all busy, we are all different and what works for one person won't necessarily work for another.
